Laid in are 14 pages of replicas later generation photocopies with photocopied holes. <br/><br/>Based on the play "A Loss of Roses" by William Inge Lila Green Woodward dreams of being an actress and joins a band of traveling entertainers until her boyfriend abandons her near her Kansas hometown. She is taken in by an old friend whose son falls in love with her. Her boyfriend returns and she performs a striptease for money whereas the young boy falls out of love with her. Originally designed for Pat Boone and Marilyn Monroe Boone turned down the role on moral grounds and Monroe died before filming. 1933140939Hollywood: Paramount Pictures 1933. Collection of five vintage photographs from the 1933 film.<br/><br/>Based on William Faulkner's 1931 controversial literary potboiler "Sanctuary." The story concerns a wealthy and neurotic Southern belle who falls in with a violent bootlegger who rapes her and forces her into prostitution. Every bit as controversial as the source material the film's depiction of the assault was graphic and shocking even among films of the era and along with the same year's equally sensational "Baby Face" was directly responsible for the stricter enforcement of the Production Code beginning the next year bringing the pre-Code era to a close. <br/><br/>George Raft then under contract to Paramount was assigned the role of the bootlegger but found the part repulsive and went to battle with the studio in a suit that nearly cost him his career. <br/><br/>Unavailable for decades outside of 16mm bootlegs the film was restored by the Museum of Modern Art in 2011 and screened at the TCM Classic Film Festival but still awaits a commercial release. <br/><br/>Photographs between 9.75 x 7.5 and 8 x 10 inches. Draft script for the 1974 television movie "The Story of Pretty Boy Floyd" seen here under the title "The Daltons: Outlaws." <br/><br/>As the script's title indicates a story originally intended to be about the Dalton Gang. For reasons unknown presumably legal the script was haphazardly rewritten in the same year to become a sympathetic portrait of Depression-era bank robber Pretty Boy Floyd. The completed film retains some of the Dalton-like elements seen in this draft including a trio of brothers as main characters. The resulting film starred real-life brothers Martin Sheen and Joe Estevez with Estevez in his first role. <br/><br/>Set in Oklahoma. <br/><br/>Olive green titled wrappers noted as production No. 39108 dated November 30 1973.
