An interesting historical artifact in that each of these has a label with a corrected title reading "They Live By Night" pasted over the original release title "The Twisted Road." One of the four photos has this label roughly removed in a demonstrative fashion see images.<br /> <br /> Based on Edward Anderson's 1937 novel "Thieves Like Us" about an escaped convict who falls in love with a woman who nurses him back to health after he is injured in a robbery. Nicholas Ray's directorial debut a "doomed lovers" tale that is considered by many to be a forerunner to "Bonnie and Clyde" 1967. <br /> <br /> Generally 10 x 8 inches.
