This delicate little booklet has seen better days but is still a readable collectible piece of California maritime history. Both of the top corners of the front cover have chipped off as well as a corner on the back where there is also a half-inch tear. The brittle cover is toned around the edges. Inside the newsprint has browned with age but the green ink is still very legible. This brief account of shipbuilding in the Port of San Pedro is reprinted from the San Pedro Shipping Gazzette Vol. 1 No. 2 October 13 1883.
