MILTON MERLIN'S copy with his name and date in pencil 421pp. bound in red and black pictorial cloth depicting a guitar flag and flower in gilt black and red spine lettering gilt top edge stained black. Nearly fine in unclipped fine dust jacket. Milton Merlin 1905-1996 was a screenwriter during the 1930s and 1940s. In the early 1950s he was blacklist after he refused to tesitfy before the House Un-American Activites Committee. Merlin returned to writing in the early 1960s focusing on television where he penned scripts for such shows as The Millionaire which he also produced and episodes of Bonanza and I Spy. <br/><br/> The Viking Press hardcover books
