The first edition first impression.In the original price-clipped dust wrapper.'The Wild Goose Chase' is dystopian novel following three brothers as they searched for the eponymous goose. They find themselves in a sealed-off town of a neighbouring country which is ruled by dictators who have enslaved their people. Written by Rex Warner a classicist and author. In the original publisher's cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally smart. Light discolouration and a few minor marks to the cloth. Very small chip to the head of the spine. Spots to the fore edge. Front hinge is starting but firm. Bookseller's label to the front paste down. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Dust wrapper is a little edge worn with tape repairs and repairs to the reverse. Label to the tail of the spine. Wraps are age-toned with light rubbing and handling marks. A couple of small tidemarks to the reverse of the dust wrapper. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with scattered spots. Very Good Boriswood hardcover
