Contents include Lacquer in the 17th Century " " in the 18th Century, Lqcquer in England and the North American Colonies, Italian, German, French, Scandinavian, Russian and Lacquer of the Netherlands, the Lacquer Industry. From the reference section, this book was not generally circulated.

Il racconto narra il passaggio del protagonista, figlio di un capo di una delle più importanti famiglie dell'alta aristocrazia guerriera lakota, dalla adolescenza alla prima maturità, nell'arco delle quattro stagioni che compongono l'anno. Questo passaggio viene illustrato non solo attraverso lo svolgersi della vicenda, ma con squarci di descrizioni preziose e puntuali dei luoghi e del quotidiano, dei flussi di coscienza e conoscenza che portano a una maturazione nel pensiero e nell'esprimersi dell'io narrante.
