ROBERT SINKER'S COPY WITH HIS SIGNED INSCRIPTION ON FRONT FREE ENDPAPER VERSO. Robert Sinker (1838-1913) was famously Librarian of Trinity College, Cambridge and Chaplain of Trinity College Chapel. He compiled several bibliographical works, including a scholarly account of the College library and the standard Catalogue of its Fifteenth-Century Printed Books, and was active also as a biblical scholar, publishing a number of textual studies resulting from the progressive archaeology of the Holy Land.
