010271No Publisher Book. Very Good. Full-Leather. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. A fine 19th century Quran in intricately gilt-tooled wrap-around leather binding all edges gilt in printed Naskh script with a beautiful illuminated conjugated lawh that is reminiscent of fine Persian carpet. The text bordered in wide gilt rule with black red and gilt in the text. Very Good the covers worn at the edges and with rear cover detached. An unusual Quran for its Victorian binding. Publisher date and place of publication not readily apparent but perhaps to be found in the text. The Quran Qur'an is the foundational religious text of Islam and the finest work in classical Arabic literature. . No Publisher Hardcover
