Hunting 1826-1894 of the First Unitarian Church in Davenport Iowa among many positions; he also served as chaplain of the 27th Reigment of Michigan Infantry during the Civil War as president of the Iowa Prisoners' Aid Association and as president of the Davenport Academy of Natural Sciences.
