The title page of this the first edition does not mention Atterbury as author but the second edition of 1701 does include his name on the title page. Ex-Library from two seminary libraries with a stamp to the front indicating withdrawal and a rear stamp with the library collection written in black ink. Heavily warn and soiled on the outward facing pages with crinkling and staining resulting from the lack of covers. Minor foxing. The corners and edges of the pages are worn with paper loss at the top of the last pages not impacting the text. Last few pages are dog-eared. The paper is clothlike and a bit limp. Translated loosely to English this piece is the "Sermon at the ceremonial funeral of our immortal reformer Dr. Martin Luther's held on February 22 1546 in the Castle Church in Wittenberg by Bugenhagen." <br/><br/> hardcover

The book is in Very Good- condition and was likely issued without a dust jacket. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some bumping rubbing and wear. There is rubbing to the spine joints and cover edges especially the front foredge of the cover. The rear spine joint has started to crack in two places. The text pages are generally clean and bright. Several pages have toning and there is scattered foxing throughout. The endpapers have noticeable foxing and pencilled previous owners notations. There is a pasted on 'Note' on the rear pastedown page. "Baptism is a Christian rite of admission and adoption almost invariably with the use of water into Christianity. Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Original decorative black cloth bdg. 12mo. (17,5 x 11,5 cm). In Turkish with Armenian letters. 206 p. "Armenian letters used by Ottoman Armenians and Gregorian Kipchaks have differences in terms of spelling and writing style. Also in terms of word existence, borrowed words from the Slavic language in Gregorian Kipchak Turkish are more. Arabic and Persian words, on the other hand, are partly seen in some works. However, Armenian words are very limited. It is seen that a differentiating language according to the region and quality of the work is used in the works by Armenians under Ottoman rule. In such works, there are Arabic and Persian words along with the Anatolian accents. Writing Turkish texts with Armenian letters is come across in manuscripts after the 14th century and in pressed works after the 18th century. Armenian books started to be pressed in printing houses after the beginning of the 16th century. The first Turkish book with Armenian letters was pressed in Venice in 1876 by Sivasli Mikhitar, the founder of the Union of Mikhitarists. The number of the pressed books is quite a lot. Works written in Armenian Turkish and letters in Ottoman lands are generally categorized into five groups. These are the works of Armenian poet-singers (asug), written literary works, translations, newspapers, journals, and epitaphs. It is possible to classify this classification with a more general approach by also including Kipchak areas as such: literary works (it is possible to consider this as oral and written works), dictionaries, and works on language, translations, legal documents, historical works, and periodicals.".
