Has an unusaul inscription in ink-pen by the author known as "the Padre of Guadalcanal" to a Congressional Medal of Honor awardee for his action on "Sugar-Loaf Hill." It reads as follows: "January 1986 to" Major General James Day USMC from Sig Carlson in rememberance of "Sugar-Loaf Hill" with added blessings and admiration fomr "The Padre" Father Fred Gehring."
