RARE FIRST EDITION prayer book compiled by the prominent American rabbi, author, and leader of Reform Judaism - Joseph Krauskopf (1858-1923). Krauskopf was also the founder of the National Farm School (now Delaware Valley University), and long-time (1887-1923) rabbi at Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel (KI), the oldest reform synagogue in Philadelphia which under Krauskopf, became the largest American Jewish reform congregation, for which this service manual was published. Contains indices of subjects of meditations and exhortations, and of first lines of hymns. 195x135mm. 560 pages. Black cloth Hardcover with brown cloth spine. Cover and spine rubbed.
