Gesuita, fu legato da amicizia e stima intellettuale al suo maestro Bernardino Stefonio, divenuto famoso per la creazione della ""tragedia cristiana"" e considerato il più importante drammaturgo della storia teatrale della Compagnia di Gesù. Dopo la messa in scena delle due tragedie latine dello Stefonio, il Crispo e la Flavia, fu il Galluzzi che si occupò di trarre le conclusioni teoriche del successo ottenuto; nel 1621, pubblicò il trattato Virgilianae vindicationes et Commentarii tres de tragoedia, de comoedia et elegia che, basandosi sui lavori dello Stefonio (nei quali si fondevano i valori estetici di origine umanistica con quelli della sensibilità cristiana), diventò una vera e propria poetica ufficiale dell'Ordine.
