Of interest is the description and folding map of the Laguna of Dolores which commemorated the report by Gov. Neve of 1777 referring to a Lake Dolores that was located in San Francisco near where the Protestant Orphan Asylum stood in 1877 which site is today bounded by Haight Buchanan Hermann and Laguna Streets.
