Extracted from a volume of Parliamentary Circulars with the ownership signature "Frederick Peel" Member of Parliament from Feb. 1849 dated 1839-1851. ONE: ‘Copy’ of letter to ‘The Right Honorable Lord John Russell’ signed in type ‘J. CAMPBELL / T. WILDE.’ 2pp 8vo. Paginated in manuscript 27-28. Printed in copperplate font. Begins: ‘My Lord / We have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Mr. Vernon Smith’s letter of the 3d inst. transmitting to us by your Lordship’s directions a copy of a letter from Sir Wm Colebrooke respecting the right of the Governor General of the Leeward Islands to issue writs for a General Assembly of the Leeward Islands’. They set out the grounds for their opinion that ‘the separate Legislatures of the Leeward Islands have no right to be consulted in calling a General Assembly’. 013961Pierre Authefaud (1710?-1785), prêtre, chanoine régulier de Saint-Augustin de la congrégation de Chancelade, prieur-curé de Saint-Androny (à partir de 1747) puis de Cantenac (Gironde). 3 L.A.S., Saint Androny, 8 juin 1750, 18 mars & 1er avril 1752, 4p in-4. A Pierre-Emmanuel de Casaux (1716-1778), président à mortier au Parlement de Bordeaux. La première est pour demander son intervention pour accélérer un procès et les deux autres concernent le blé de Casaux, notamment parce que ses bateaux sont bloqués et mis en quarantaine pour éviter qu'il y ait une contagion au blé de Casaux. Il y avait donc une maladie qui circulait alors. La première lettre à un manque sur la gauche (probablement à l'ouverture) mangeant quelques mots, manque en marge des deux autres. On joint une LAS d'un Lamotte, datée du 2 avril 1752, probablement un fonctionnaire proche de la maréchaussée à qui Casaux a dû demander d'intervenir pour ses vaisseaux en quarantaine. [215]
