The performance was held only two months after the release of the band's landmark album "Nevermind" and featured Hole as the supporting act.<br /> <br /> In 1991 Nirvana signed with DGC Records and released their second studio album "Nevermind." The release catapulted the band into international fame and is credited with bringing the grunge movement a mainstay of 1990s popular music to a mainstream audience. <br /> <br /> The November 23 concert at Vooruit was the only performance on the band's tour to feature Hole as the supporting act with the band Shonen Knife being the supporting act through the majority of the tour. br. Trent'anni fa, da Seattle arrivava a tutto il mondo un altro suono che parlava in un'altra maniera, ad altra gente: era il 24 settembre del 1991, "the year punk broke". E il mondo della musica non ha mai superato questo trauma. Ancora oggi si parla e si scrive di Nevermind, il disco che tutti hanno amato e tutti hanno capito, stregati dal biondo eterno adolescente Kurt Cobain. Anche dopo così tanto tempo, allontanarsi e guardare senza occhi lucidi quello che rimane di nevermind è un'impresa quasi impossibile. Però vale la pena tentare, togliere la patina luccicante che ricopre uno dei dischi più importanti della storia, per riportarlo alla sua forma originaria. Ritornare al nastro del master e ascoltarlo prima che possano farlo i Nirvana stessi; prima che possa farlo Kurt. I soldi, la fama, le copertine delle riviste notoriamente danno alla testa: ai Nirvana non è mancato nulla di tutto questo. Per ascoltare Nevermind come non siamo mai riusciti ad ascoltarlo, quindi, è necessario ripercorrere il susseguirsi di idee che hanno animato la band più esplosiva della scena di Seattle, tra quello che hanno detto prima di essere sommersi dai fan e quello che hanno lasciato intendere. Senza appiattirsi sulla biografia e senza lanciarsi in interpretazioni testuali non richieste, riordinare i fili che legano Kurt Cobain, la sua città natale, i deodoranti per ascelle, l'Inghilterra, Krist Novoselic, i Melvins, il litio, Dave Grohl... Per poi mettersi le cuffie e scombinarli ancora una volta.
