Beneath this is Conried’s own bookplate printed in crimson and a caricature vignette of Conried. Hans Conried is best remembered for his leading role in the classic Dr. Seuss fantasy film The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T as well as his portrayal of Uncle Tonoose on The Danny Thomas Show. This book is a 282 page biography of Barrymore and is very rare inscribed by him since it appeared just shortly before his death. Laid in is a special yellow printed card for the John Barrymore estate auction which “Entitles the Bearer to Seat in RESERVED SECTION at Auction of the Precious Possessions of John Barrymore - Deceased - Outstanding Star of Stage and Screen Monday and Tuesday August 24 and 25 1943 3123 West Eighth Street Los Angeles - J.J.
