Averill's response was to found the Domino Press in order to make the book a reality. Published in both French and English this copy is the English issue. The book's success is credited in part with revitalizing the French children's book market and played a role in Rojankovsky landing work in the famous Père Castor series. 14.5'' x 11.5''. Original quarter blue cloth color pictorial paper boards. Illustrated by Rojankovsky with beautiful color lithographs throughout. 16 pages.
