"Looking for Mr. Goodbar" would be made into a film by Paramount in 1977 starring Diane Keaton and Richard Gere to mixed reviews but commercial success. <br/><br/>This copy inscribed by the author on the second flyleaf "For the Handsomest / Sales Manager / in New York / Judy" - apparently a friend as well as while we find other instances where she signed as "Judy" it appears uncommon. <br/><br/>___DESCRIPTION: Bound in full light brown linen cloth over boards brown and white lettering stamped onto the spine brown endpapers inscription by the author in black felt-tip pen on the second flyleaf as set forth above first printing with the full number line on the copyright page; octavo size 8.5" by 5.5" pagination: 1-8 9-284. In the publisher's dust jacket with the original price of $7.95 illustration on the front upon a tan background with brown and black lettering grey black and brown lettering on the spine black-and-white photograph of the author on the back panel with a listing of her previous novels summary of the book with the main characters on both flaps. <br/><br/>___CONDITION: Fine with clean boards showing no wear perfectly straight corners without rubbing a strong square text block with solid hinges the interior is clean and bright and entirely free of prior owner markings; the lightest of bumping to the head of the spine else fine.
