A bit of soiling and slight spotting on the boards very good in very good dust jacket with nicking at the foot and some age-toning. This copy personalized but not signed by Steinberg on the half-title with a drawing of a crossbow shooting a bird with a few random symbols and letters possibly a rebus of some sort and dated "1954 New Years." The book includes a few other pictures of birds being menaced with weapons but not one that correlates directly to the one drawn. Steinberg drawings are scarce. Harper and Brothers hardcover
