Rear hinge totally broken on the inner side joint still sound; front hinge starting. Leather covers missing large surface chips at fore-edge of front smaller ones to rear cracks at corners with chips & tears at spine extremities. Board corners bumped and frayed. In original embossed and gilt-titled leather marbled endpapers. The original was published in 1890 so this is a pretty early example worthy of repairs. Ships at estimated cost. Pictures upon request. Old owner's inscription on fep dated 1860 partially covered by glued on bibliographic reference about the book ~5/8x2 1/2" cut from a book or magazine. Two maps are present but first has been crudely taped on the outside and the second has a 4" tear with no loss to either.
