Chapter nine is titled 'The Mormon City' p.114-134 and chapter ten is titled 'Salt Lake City' p.114-134. A very uneven account of the Mormons in the Great Basin. "Not to mince the matter I never saw such a collection of ugly shriveled melancholy looking women in my life." Detrich Cardiff 1873-1964. "He directed the agriculture experimental station from 1914-17 at Washington State University where he also headed the botany and plant physiology department.
