Illustrated with ten monochrome plates and a monochrome folding map. Collated complete. Published as part of The Suffolk Green Books series published in nineteen volumes by the same author. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally sound. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some loss to the head of the spine. There is a crack to the front joint. The spine is slightly faded. The hinges are starting but firm. Internally generally firmly bound. He told Time magazine that he got the Derrydale name "from a bottle of whiskey and a map of Ireland."<br /> <br /> An important publisher of outdoor books for North American audiences during the first half of the 20th century according to a 1938 Time magazine article it was the only publishing house in the world devoted exclusively to sporting books.
