Francesco Salviucci belonging to a well-known family of Roman typographers director of the Typography of the "Reverenda Camera Apostolica" describes a vast sample of the printing characters present in the typography preceded by a brief excursus on typographic art in general. In addition to the characters there are various friezes and engravings including the image of a steamship probably the first of the Papal State.
