175029700<p>This eighteenth-century Hebrew volume combines Mishnayot with vowel points explanatory notes and an appended Sefer Yetzirah. Edited by Israel Isserl ben and printed in Venice by Giovanni Alvise Bragadin around 1750 it reflects the continuity of Hebrew learning in Italy during the Enlightenment era. The edition includes Seder Zeraim Hanhagot Yesharim and the Book of Creation. The Bragadin press was among the most active Hebrew printers of the early modern period maintaining high typographic standards. Provenance includes handwritten notes on blanks. Condition: Good full vellum with firm spine and secure text block moderate toning and light edge wear. Format 16mo approximately 5 by 3.5 inches 12.7 x 8.9 cm single volume. 'Pesakim U'Ktavim' includes 267 responses 78 of which address marriage law with the remainder dealing with ritual and civil law. This work was edited by Isserlein's pupils after his death. One photo shows the exterior the rest is of the interior of the Synagogue and Cultural Center in Tel-Aviv. Photographs with captions in English and Hebrew. "In Eternal Memory: This building was built in Memory of the Jewish Communities in China by Igud Yotzei Sin in Israel. The construction of the building was possible thanks to the Administrator General and Official receiver of the State of Israel who handed over the proceeds received from the sale of the Synagogue in Shanghai and through the generous donations from the former residents of China in Israel and all over the world. The building was set thanks to the great devotion extended by the President of the Building Committee Mr. M. A. Zaigraeff. The inauguration of the skeleton of the building took place on the 20th August 1959. The inauguration of the opening of the building took place on 6th September 1961.
