Original green cloth binding with gilt titles and pictorial black stamping. Minor crease to the front flyleaf. Some general dust staining to the top edge. Madame Cottrelly was director of the Thalia Theatre in New York City which later became the Bowery Theatre in 1879. The theatre offered primarily German productions but in 1891 converted to Yiddish theatre. I am unsure if this is the dedication copy although Zangwill did go to this page for the inscription. Commissioned by the American Secretary of the Treasury this was Andrews second report his first was published in 1851 in the compilation of which he was assisted by Thomas C.Keefer.
