Sharock at the Grady Cole Center in Charlotte North Carolina December 1995. Outkast’s debut album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik 1994 had been certified platinum earlier that year and Goodie Mob had just released their debut Soul Food. 1968A43003Hollywood CA: MGM. Very Good. 1968. 1st Printing. Poster. B&W Illustrations; This poster is a standard 27" by 41" size. The poster is in Very Good condition. The poster has been folded four times with the reverse on the outside. All four corners have several tiny pin holes and ther are two corners with bumping. The poster is for the most part clean and bright without chips edge nicks or fading. The Reverse of the posterhas red ink stamped notations: "2001 Space Odyssey followed by 1 SH D /103G on the bottom corner of the reverse of the poster. "US style D poster was created for 'wild' pastings on New York City walls subways and temporary structures. MGM commissioned this poster for the film's 70 mm re-launch in New York City in 1969. This poster features the star child floating in an iris. The release of the 70 mm film helped to make it a commercial and critical success. As this poster was designed for 'wild' pasting only unused posters could have survived. On top of this fewer were printed as they were only used in New York City and other metropolitan areas." from Sothebys "2001: A Space Odyssey is a 1968 epic science fiction film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick. All written in green ink the first on green paper and the other two on pink paper. The three in very good condition on lightly-aged paper. Written in an attractive calligraphic hand. ONE: She writes that she is enclosing 'four rough designs not present for the woodcut frontispiece to the "Glade sic of Glenbella' and asks to be informed by return of the firm's choice and she will 'get on with it at once'. She ends with a query about galley sheets. TWO: Docketted with brief pencil accounts. 'Thank you for sending me a copy of the Glades of Glenbella I am very pleased to have it. What a difference it makes to the "cut" to see it printed well and on really nice paper!' She asks whether the author is satisfied before apologises for asking for the block to be returned: 'had I had more time at first I should have naturally taken a small edition before handing it over'. THREE: Note. She is returning the block and thanks the firm 'for enabling me to take a small edition of prints'. Various sizes thirteen are roughly 305mm x 425mm in size with the others larger often 490mm x 780mm with a couple even larger various dates but mainly 1980-2001. Twenty are printed in colour. Generally in decent order one or two slightly creased with small closed tears a few with small nicks and tears a couple with blu-tack staining to corners. Collection of eight colour-printed Nianhua posters the central images onlaid within a stiff red paper border with a thin cream paper frame worn and discoloured and at the top of each a fine aqua paper border; the sheets a little creased two of the images with a visible tide-mark minor edge tears not affecting the images strengthened neatly on the verso with washi one with an early paper repair to the verso of the margin approx. 93 x 51.5cms sheet size in good condition. Eight Nianhua posters six feature traditional narrative tales one based on a woodblock print one possibly of a movie heroine and one other features a pair of chubby toddlers holding a tray of peaches and flowers symbols of longevity and abundance. . unknown

"The War of Munitions - How Great Britain has Mobilised Her Industries" poster has text plus several cartoon-type illus several fold lines on this poster; 5. " America's Creed. Victory Bonds".
