The folding plate is slightly misfolded resulting in an extra crease and is loose from the binding one tiny tear 2mm at very edge at binding side. Blind stamp of L Richard Smith on title page. A very nice and complete copy of this rarity of 19th century travel writing. Translated from the French edition of 1821 this edition also contains the only publication of Drovettis Itinery of an Excursion to the Valley of Dakel etc undertaken late in 1818 pp66-72.
