Some abrasion to edges of boards foxing to title page and a few tissue guards; binding tight plates clean. Includes very brief introductory text "These views of Algiers and the neighbourhood printed in Photogravure by Mr. Courtulement of Algiers are from negatives taken by myself and a friend during our residence there in 1887-88. This book brings to mind many happy hours spent there together and is now published by request" followed by 100 photogravure plates each with a printed tissue guard identifying the scene.
