A previous original owner's name on f/ep some yellowing to the pages a small tear to top corner of map on page 86 Frontier to Morogoro where it is fixed to the pages but with no damage to the printing on the map itself and no damage to the two smaller maps on pp124 and 172. Otherwise a good clean tight copy of this first edition of this hard-cover book. Deals with the author's wartime service in the German East Africa campaign from 1915-18.
