His publications include an account of Jewish history based on non-Jewish sources, and studies of the Bible. On his work and life, see in length Singer & Grossman: "Cassel, Paulus Stephanus (Selig)", Jewish Encyclopedia, 1906. Provenance: The British Museum, Dept. of Antiquities, with minute old stamp to title-page. Of utmost rarity.
