The boards are a touch rubbed and edge worn but remain otherwise strong and sturdy with gold gilt to the spine. Internally there is some very mild and light foxing to the early pages but there are no other markings or inscriptions and the pages are neat and crisp. The binding is sound. In original blind stamped cloth over boards with gilt titles to spine. Covers show wear heavier at spine ends with some fading to spine. Livingstone's account of his second expedition in which he walked over 4000 miles from Cape Town South Africa through the Kalahari Desert and west to the coastal town of Loanda.
