Tissue guarded frontis and lithographed title page. 20 tinted lithographs in total and colour map. Bound in 3/4 black calf over black cloth with gilt lettered red morocco label to second compartment and gilt designed flat bands. The cloth and leather is scuffed and rubbed in several places a little heavier rubbing to foot of spine and to the board tips. All edges marbled with marbled endpapers. Sporadic foxing throughout with heavier foxing and spotting to the frontis and title pages. Plates are clean and the text is generally clean the book in a tight and square binding. Very good copy.
