The letter was written while Putnam was in London and is addressed to "E.S.P. Haynes Esq. 9 New Square Lincoln's Inn." Geo. Haven Putnam signature in ink is located top of the right front flyleaf. Pencil inscription "E.S.P. Haynes from the author April 1924" written on the front paste down. In the same hand is a pencil dated "5th - May 1924" underneath Putnam's ink signature.
