Ottimo Fine. . <em><strong>Josef Albers</strong> nasce a Bottrop in Germania il 19 marzo 1888 studia litografia a Essen frequenta l'Accademia a Monaco quindi entra al <strong>Bauhaus </strong>di Weimar nel 1920 dove nel 1922 diventa responsabile del laboratorio del vetro e quando nel 1925 la scuola si trasferisce a Dessau diventa Bauhausmeister. Oltre a lavorare il vetro e il metallo Albers progetta mobili e si occupa di tipografia. Dopo la forzata chiusura del Bauhaus nel 1933 emigra negli Stati Uniti e nel 1936 tiene la sua prima personale a New York al J. B. Neumann's New Art Circle. Nel 1939 diventa cittadino americano. Il Museum of Modern Art di New York organizza un'importante mostra itinerante dell'Artista nel 1965-67 che viene presentata in Sud America in Messico e negli Stati Uniti.
