Il libretto a stampa è censito in sole 6 bibl., non è mai apparso in Maremagnum e non è facile da reperire in commercio.

"Prima rara edizione" di questa dettagliata cronaca del viaggio compiuto in Africa Orientale nel 1878 dall’esploratore ravennate Pellegrino Matteucci (1859-1881). Cfr. Ceresoli, p. 351: “Vi si narrano episodi di caccia grossa”. Esemplare ben conservato.
Mm 170x250 Tre volumi pubblicati tra il 1921 ed il 1928, i primi due dalla Tipografica Manuzio in Roma, il terzo dallo Stabilimento Tipografico Mantero in Tivoli. Robusta rilegatura in tela avana con titolo impresso in rosso, etichetta con immagine dell'Autore applicata al piatto, tagli colorati, 600 pagine circa per ciascun volume con immagini in nero nel testo. Leggeri segni del tempo in apertura del primo e secondo tomo che reca un ex libris al frontespizio, peraltro tutta l'opera è in ottime condizioni con legature ben salde.
