Bilingual text in Russian photographic reproduction and translation in French. 96 p. Occasionally light foxing on the cover. Otherwise in good condition. Rare first edition in book form of this report attributed to Russian consul Mayewski in Bitlis and Van in 1912 titled "Statistique des Provinces de Van et de Bitlis". The report allegedly written by the Russian consul regarding the Armenian events that arose in Eastern Anatolia due to the Armenian question that started at the end of the 19th century and the nationalist approach of the Etchmiadzin Church to the issue documents the massacres committed by Armenian atrocities and organizations like Dashnaksutyun against the Muslim population in the region. The content of this rare book is controversial and may have been written for propaganda purposes during its period.

Imprimerie Militaire paperback

Prior to modern GPS systems and satellite navigation these regularly updated and revised navigation handbooks provided key sailing instructions often drawing not only from Russian & British sources but also sailing reports from U.S. Navy vessels and those from merchant ships. The two maps serve as indexes to sailing charts to be ordered from the Hydrographic Office and keyed to sailing instructions within the coast pilots. Kerensky Victor Tchernoff Chernov and other Russian Social Revolutionaries for the 32 former members of the Russian Constituent Assembly protests the hardships inflicted upon Russia by communism. They accuse the Bolshevik government and its New Economic Policy of selling Russia's natural resources to the greed of international capitalism. The NEP was announced by Lenin in March 1921 and inaugurated an interim policy guaranteeing freedom of trade in internal commerce and a system of concessions for the investment of foreign capital. European states and busineses were pleased with the NEP and saw in it Lenin's capitulation to capitalism. However what they considered a weakness eventually turned out to be a mark of strength and flexibility of Bolshevik policy. unknown
