The content of this book is comprised of the results of research conducted about Adana by Hrant Dink Foundation. We hope that the information presented here interests not only researchers and history enthusiasts, but anyone who wants to learn more about Adana. In presenting our findings, we also mention the challenges we had and the impressions we gained during the research process of the cultural heritage faced by the threat of being forgotten. By this we aim to contribute the methodological discussions used in researching similar topics.

Twerdo Khlebof, un tenente colonnello del secondo reggimento di artiglieria russo di stanza a Erzurum, tenne un diario almeno dalla fine del 1917 a pochi mesi nel 1918. L'esercito generale si era ritirato e la provincia era sotto il controllo di questo piccolo reggimento russo, arroccato nella fortezza di Erzurum e di qualche un'unità militare armena. Nel suo diario, il militare descrisse le presunte atrocità delle quali fu testimone, perpetrate dagli armeni verso la popolazione civile mussulmana. Khlebof che dovette poi abbandonare la fortezza non fu poi testimone delle terribili ritorsioni turche. Raro. Rare.
