Non abbiamo documentazione, ma secondo noi la stupenda copertina è opera di Mario STURANI, al cui genio grafico sono dovute molte altre copertine coeve di Frassinelli. Così com'è, da restaurare

Relazione, in forma epistolare, dei viaggi effettuati dal religioso e orientalista francese Eugène Boré (1809-78). Inviato in Persia nel 1837 per una missione scientifica (per conto della “Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres”), Boré fondò una scuola a Ispahan prima di proseguire le ricerche linguistiche, etnografiche e archeologiche in Medio Oriente. Gran parte delle sue relazioni riguardano Costantinopoli, l’Armenia (di cui ci ha lasciato dettagliate descrizioni degli usi e costumi) e anche i Greci dell’Asia Minore, i cattolici della Persia, i Nestoriani, ecc. "Edizione originale". Cfr. Lorenz,I, p. 314. Lievi fioriture intercalate nel testo, ma certamente un buon esemplare con barbe.
