Restoration carried out by us:- New leather head caps to both vols and new leather tail cap to Vol I - both vols have been hand re- lettered in gold leaf. NB The leather had clearly not been treated/ handled for many years resulting in it becoming dry and powdery. We have given it a proprietary dressing and waxed which has significantly improved the condition. Sewing cords and binding generally sound. Armorial book plates Same to both front paste downs.
