Most are black and white but include 18 midcentury photographs in color. Some images have written annotations with dates from 1928-1955 although portrait photographs of a young man in WWI-era German military uniform dates the photo range much earlier as Germany entered World War I in 1914. 3 class portraits of primary school children from 1928 and 1936. Includes wartime photos of WWII-era Germany. In one urban setting a woman stands at in front of a train station with the banner "Räder müssen rollen für den Sieg Wheels Must Roll For Victory" and a smaller sign identifying the "Wehrkreisauskunft Nebenstelle Military District Information Branch". A man in full WWII-era German infantry officer uniforms appear in some photographs alongside his civilian companions. Photos of a young nurse in uniform with colleagues.
