These letters offer a delightful insight into his travels and artistic inspirations through Italy and Switzerland as well as his general correspondence including his thoughts on music for public worship on pianoforte playing and a proposal for an academy of music. Uniformly bound in half calf with marbled paper covered boards and gilt to the spines. Externally with rubbing to the extremities and a few scuffs to the boards. Internally firmly bound.
