Covers are tan with black lettering and spine is covered with black binding tape with gilt lettering. Corners are bumped some and corners of front cover have some creasing. Covers have stains and scuffing and front cover has some writing at top. Edges of pages have foxing and some small stains. Some pages have foxing and tanning several pages have writing in pencil and some pages have spotting. Front endpaper has a gift inscription from a captain and a folded card has a letter dated from 1888 from the captain to a colonel making him a gift of this book. Book is in fair condition.
