Once the copy of famous syndicated cartoonist William Ireland of the Columbus Dispatch who had made a Christmas gift of this book to his family doctor with not only an inscription to him dated 1921 but also with a full page drawing making this copy unique and of course very special. The first book in this marvelous series and the origin book for the film of the same name along with Ireland's original pen & ink art. A PETER PARLEY TO PENROD title. Ireland's doctors name was James Dolittle and thus the reason of this as a gift to him I'm sure. Stokes unknown
