Dans ce texte qui fut repris dans Le Franc Tireur du 11 novembre 1956, les Surréalistes apportent leur soutien au soulèvement hongrois et dénoncent la répression. Les événements de Hongrie marquent un tournant dans l’attitude des surréalistes vis-à-vis de l’URSS. Après avoir nourri certains espoirs dans les promesses de déstalinisation du XXe congrès de 1953, les signataires de ce tract renvoient dos à dos l’impérialisme franco-britanique et les « prétendus disciples de Lénine », parlent des « Versaillais de Moscou » et vont même jusqu’à écrire en gras et en capitales, s’agissant des troupes du Pacte de Varsovie : « les fascistes sont ceux qui tirent sur le peuple ».Ce tract est signé A.
