Binding is solid and square, exterior shows no other blemishes, gilt print to spine, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. Dust jacket is price clipped, shows chipping, edgewear, no tears, scuffing. Prnted in G.B. 242 illustrations in gilt and black. Illustrations are photographically reduced from original rubbings and turned into positives with art ehn printed on to a solid gilt base, giving an authentic reproduction of the original design as conceived by the medieval craftsman. Detail to block-making. Book is heavily illustrated with large, often full page illustrations bathed in gilt.
