Illustrations are photographically reduced from original rubbings and turned into positives with art ehn printed on to a solid gilt base, giving an authentic reproduction of the original design as conceived by the medieval craftsman. Detail to block-making. Book is heavily illustrated with large, often full page illustrations bathed in gilt.
