Collated lacking one folding plate.An early nineteenth century examination of the governance finances and administrative practices of the Liverpool Corporation prompted by public concern over corruption mismanagement and lack of accountability in municipal government. The Court of Inquiry convened under parliamentary authority investigated allegations of nepotism misuse of public funds and undemocratic procedures within the Corporation's operations.With a town clerk library stamp to the title page head.The findings of this report added to the national momentum for municipal reform contributing to the case for the Municipal Corporations Act 1835.
