New Yorkwith their blindstamp 53 x 54.1 cm. 20 x 21 1/4 in.<br /> 'Night Scene' is one of six intaglio prints Roy Lichtenstein produced in 1980 during the same period as his 'American Indian Theme' series. This piece was hand drawn onto a copperplate by the artist using etching aquatint soft-ground and engraving. Within the 'American Indian Theme' series Lichtenstein combined one of his previously explored subjects the American Indian together with surrealist overtones as seen in the present work.
