Investors are urged to apply to the company's offices in Leadenhall Street for land and concessions. The photographs are predominantly the work of two of the company's officers Dr G. N. Johnstone and A. J. West. They include "The first train in North Borneo 3rd February 1898" the train was named "Progress" "Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee June 22nd 1897" "The Sultan of Sulu and Suite" "Chinese mummers" and portrait photographs of prominent British officials. Landscape quarto. With 2 colour maps half-tone illustrations throughout. Original red bead-grain cloth front cover lettered in gilt with gilt coat of arms of British North Borneo Company.
