A Bolivian broadside calling for the reassessment of the military retreat from Camarones in November 1879 during the South American War of the Pacific fought by Peru and Bolivia against Chile from 1879 to 1884. In one of the first significant moments of the war Bolivian troops under their President Hilarión Daza failed to meet up with Peruvian allies in the region of the Camarones River instead withdrawing to more defensible positions deeper in Bolivia. The actions resulted in the loss of Bolivia's only coastal province and the overthrow of President Daza before the end of the year. This tract argues briefly that other Bolivian commanders not solely Daza were responsible for the loss. An extremely scarce reflection on this South American conflict and not in OCLC.
